It was extremely good. Their grills are charcoal which makes the meat have alot more flavor. I will recommend to anyone looking for a good authentic korean bbq

I have always been a fan of this place. They practice good sanitation protocols---- disposable cups, paper menu (to be also used as a table mat) that are disposed after every patron, and hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving. Masks are required. Food is always great. Meats are SUPER tender. I usually get the bibimbap in a hotpot, but opted for something light instead. Their hot soups are tasty and light. I just like the hot soups with tofu and the kalbi. Rice is cooked to perfection.

It doesn't look like much from the outside but their great customer service, delicious food and good prices make it a great place to go to enjoy authentic Korean barbeque. Whether you've had Korean BBQ or not, I suggest checking this place out and bringing your appetite, cause the portions are huge.

After reading everybody’s review, I expected more from this place. I’ve been to many Korean bbq places and this is not it. I give it two stars for the following:Services- Slow. Extremely slow. My wife and I ate an early dinner (4:30pm). I cannot imagine what the service is like around peak time. Be prepared to wait for a very long time Main Dish: Over-Saturated with marination and sauce and extremely salty. Plus they do not have gochujang sauce. The most important Korean sauce for Korean bbq! FYI: we ordered beef japchae, galbi and spicy chicken. Side Dish: They’re not allowed to bring this out until the main dish. No re-fill either. 😒Price: Extremely pricey! Three dishes $70.00. Yikes!

Service was bad, we were waiting to be seated but no one attended until we sat ourselves in a near by table. The fried rice my mom order was bland and had a strange after taste. The black bean noodles I order had a good taste but was very watery. In all we won’t be coming back.

Awesome Korean BBQ. Food is perfect. Service is good. Wish they had flavored Soju. It gets busy fast in weekends, so get there when it opens. All meats are good here. Want more sides, please.

AMAZING KOREAN CUISINE!!! Had a business luncheon and our host chose Kim's Galbi. My first time here, but our hostess was a regular. I ordered some spring rolls and she ordered my meal for me. Other than saying that every dish and side dish was perfectly seasoned and fresh is an understatement. The soup was spectacular! I savored each bite and sampled the sweet potatoes, Kim chi, seasoned broccoli, and seasoned Korean pickled cucumbers. My mouth is watering just thinking about each dish. They have an extensive menu with numerous Korean specialties that were a hit with our group. Treat yourself and come to Kim's Galbi! The warm and soothing Asian style environment will become a favorite for you. Service is excellent, portions are generous and prices are reasonable- between $8 to $14 a person.

This place is freaking awesome. The building itself is noticable by it's lighthouse up front. Inside, there are tables with built-in stoves for cooking. At those tables, you get to cook the meat of your choosing. They also have regular tables if you want to order already cooked food. I don't know how to pronounce the name of what we ordered but it comes with a plate of uncooked meats, two bowls of cooked rice, about a cup each, and various side dishes. The plate of uncooked meats contained pork, chicken, beef, shrimp and thinly cut pork (bacon). The waitress will turn on the stove in the center of the table and place a hot plate on top of it from which you can cook any of the meats you choose. Pricy but worth it. What we ordered was $44.99 on the menu.

My experience was ok, but I felt it was not a wow on the quality of food. I didn't feel it was totally authentic Korean. I ordered teriyaki chicken with assorted side dishes. But the ambiance is cozy.

The food here in our experience has always been great. The service can be hit or miss depending on the day. There are some days when it seems they are just having off days but they always fix it and make it right. We are usually a large party and they always accommodate us. The prices have gone up a bit as some have stated, so we don't go as often but still one of our favorite restaurants.

Ordered by phone and was told 15 minutes. Got there 20 minutes later. 3 people got there after me and got there orders in 15-20 minutes. After waiting 35 minutes I asked to speak to the manager. My food shows up in 2 minutes and so does the owner. She said it had taken longer because it was a big order. I showed her my order of just 2 plates. She said sorry.

My first time trying Korean and they recommended this dish (Bul Go Gi Dinner) to me. Quite fun getting to build your own meal as you go. Kimchi, White Rice, and plenty of Bul Go Gi. The taste reminded me ever so lightly of beef jerky, but instead of tough and chewy was moist and flavorful. The rice was very carefully prepared perfectly sticky for mixing the meal up with the various Kimchi available.

When walking in you can already see and smell the smoke of Korean BBQ. Not too bad if that is what you came for. The non-BBQ tables are in between the BBQ ones. Not something I would want to experience if I didn't come for BBQ. The servers seemed split between too many tables, so getting ones attention can be somewhat of a wait. The food is good, but it can be a bit pricey. If you are looking for something authentic then this may not be the place for you. Though you cook your own food, this just doesn't seem to have a typical Korean BBQ restaurant feel.

This is a great authentic Korean restaurant to eat at. From the outside, I wasn't sure what to expect. It has nice decor, it's clean, and our server was very personable and interactive. He asked if it was our first time dining there, and offered to help with the menu or offer suggestions. The dishes we ordered were made from scratch, therefore causing the wait time to be a bit. That's understandable, and the food is so delicious making it well worth the wait. Also, our server made sure to keep our drinking glasses full. As for the portion sizes, they are plentiful and conducive to the prices. It was a great experience and will definitely be going back sometime in the future.

Come with an open mind and a hungry belly, leave satisfied. Service is excellent, never did I wonder when server was going to fill my glass. Follow the servers recommendation on meal. Atmosphere is quite. Food was quick to the table and very interactive. Better in large groups, but personal enough for a romantic dinner. Some of the foods seem kei friendly for the health nuts, but savory meat and noodles good enough for hungry truck drivers. Great place to eat

New favorite Korean BBQ place. Food was AMAZING as long as everyone orders an entree you can get refills on side dishes which are all very tasty. It's also pretty easy to get an entree for each person by having a few meat grilling options for your table, or you can get already cooked entrees if you don't want to cook your meat yourself. Only negatives are they have an indoor pond with koi that was leaking and had towels around the base and service wasn't extremely attentive but they were helpful when you got their attention.

The food here is excellent very authentic Korean. It's the first place I found that you can cook at your table. If I was going to offer any criticism it would be that the servers are not Korean. Honestly if it had friendly Korean servers I probably give it five Stars! In fact they don't necessarily have to be Korean just very intimate with the way Korean food is served and understanding Korean culture. This would make it a truly authentic. Otherwise this is without a doubt one of the best Korean restaurants in San Antonio.

Very good authentic Korean BBQ. The wait staff is very friendly but communicating can be hard because English is their second language; they know what you're doing and they'll understand you... You just might not understand them. Highly recommended. This place is great.

I've eaten at many Korean BBQ places around the country (truck driver), as well as in Seoul, South Korea (vacation). The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the service was great! I certainly recommend stopping here to eat, and I will again when I get the chance
